Visa Rules
Non-Immigrant Visa
Austrians may spend a maximum stay of twenty-one (21) days without visa in the Philippines. Essential for the entry and upon request of the authorities, is the evidence of an airline ticket on which the date of the departure within this restricted period must be indicated.
Austrian husbands and the minor-aged children of former Philippine citizens may claim a 1-year stay without visa under the Balikbayan program. Prerequisite for availing of this privilege is joint entry into the Philippines.
The grant of entry for Austrian children less than 15 years of age is only possible in the company of their parents except in cases of a reunion with their parents who are already there. Nevertheless, waivers may be warranted by the Immigration authorities upon a petition through the Philippine Embassy.
Austrian who intend to stay longer than 21 days in the Philippines mst secure a Visitor-visa ("9-a visa"). This visa is restricted nonetheless, to a maximum stay of fifty-nine (59) days. Holders of multiple-visas are likewise restricted to this maximum stay each time they enter the country. However, an extension to a maximum stay is possible through an application at any of the offices of the Bureau of Immigration authorities.
