Climate
China has a vast land spanning many degrees of latitude and climate varies radically. China has a variety of temperature and rainfall zones, including continental monsoon areas. In winter most areas become cold and dry, while summers are hot and rainy.
Most of Egypt has a desert- type of climate. There is a vast difference between the day and night temperatures and the summer and winter temperatures. It is very hot and dry in summers but a little cool in winters. Dust- laden hot and dry winds blow during the early summer months of April and May.
France has a predominantly temperate climate, with mild winters, except in mountain areas and the northeast. The Atlantic has a profound impact on the northwest, where the weather is characterised by high humidity, often violent westerly winds and lots of rain. France's northeast has a classic continental climate, with fairly hot summers and cold winters.
Italy has a favourable climatic condition which is due to the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. There are three distinct geographical regions. The Alps in the north ensures severe long winters, followed by warm, wet summers, except in the Po Valley, where arid summers contrast with freezing, damp winters.
South Korea has a continental climate with dry cold winters and hot humid summers. There is a swift transition from winter to summer conditions between April to early May with an equal reversal in late October. Due to the Asian monsoons, the cold winter winds come from Manchuria and Siberia while in summer the warm moist air comes from the Pacific Ocean winds.
Spain is an amazing place to hang out under the sky. There’s the Pyrenees Mountains tumbling into France offering super ski opportunities and the rough Atlantic smashing into the Galician coast of “Green Spain” in the Northern half. Contrast this with “Brown Spain” in the Southern part revealing the bustling beaches lining the Mediterranean, olive trees and Flamenco dancing with only a few hours distance from Africa. Warm or cold, adventure or rest – Spain offers it all.
Thailand has a tropical climate, where the heat and humidity is high. April and May are the hottest months when temperature soars high and makes you sweat excessively. With the onset of the monsoons in June there is some respite from the heat, though it continues to rain intermittently until the end of October.
Vietnam is large enough to have several distinct climate zones. The South is hot, humid & tropical, with temperatures hovering in the 25-30°C all year round, but it rains the most from May to November.
The North has four distinct seasons, with a relatively nippy winter (temperatures can plunge below 15°C in Hanoi), a hot and dry summer and pleasant spring (March-April) and autumn (October-December) seasons.
Brazil lies within the tropical zone. The climate of Brazil varies significantly from the mostly tropical North (the equator traverses the mouth of the Amazon) to temperate zones below the Tropic of Capricorn (23°27' S latitude), which crosses the country at the latitude of the city of São Paulo. There are four distinct climatic regions: the Amazon Basin, the Brazilian plateau, the coastlands within the tropics and the southern states.
